LARKANA: A meeting of the District Fire Safety Audit Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Larkana Tariq Manzoor Chandio to review fire safety measures, inspections of commercial and public buildings, and compliance with prescribed safety standards.
During the meeting, officials were informed that 133 commercial and public buildings in Larkana city had been inspected during the first phase of the fire safety audit. Of these, five buildings were sealed by Sindh Building Control Authority, with assistance from district administration and police, due to non-compliance with prescribed fire safety standards.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner-I
